Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge, Belize Is An Ecofriendly, Intimate Lodge

Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge Belize is a real ecolodge, an ecologically correct destination designed with the naturalist in mind. Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge, Belize is located on 50 acres in the fertile Macal River Valley, Belize in what many consider to be the most beautiful part of the Cayo District of Belize. We are surrounded by the Maya Mountains affording spectacular views from all vantage points.

To maintain our ecofriendly stance, our electric current is supplied by solar power which limits the quantity we can provide.  The cabanas are provided with kerosene lights, adding to their ambience.  The Toucan Cabin has a limited supply of solar power for "regular" lights at night.  All cabanas and cabins have hot water in their private baths.

The grounds at Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge, Belize are beautifully manicured with the largest portion left natural so as not to disturb the habitat of the abundant flora and fauna living in the area. The grounds provide an opportunity for some spectacular bird watching as well as a good chance of spotting some native mammals and reptiles including the iguana, tapir, jaguar, peccary, tayra, gibnut, agouti, smaller cats, and many others which inhabit the area.
